Snowshoeing

Pictures of Melissa and I snowshoeing for the the first time......the snow was great, we were pretty wiped out after we were done. Next time I'll wear clothes that are a bit more breathable as I worked up a pretty good sweat, and jeans and cotton shirts just don't move that sweat away from the body very well. Lesson learned. It was hard work and I'm feeling it today.

Sweating will help get your weight down.....you might want to keep with that program.

Brian,

What kind of snowshoes are you using? We're looking into buying a pair and the options are a big daunting. Looking at Tubbs and Atlas models for moderate terrain. We'll start out flat and level and work "up" to the harder stuff (once we get in shape!!) It looks like you were having fun! (We're in MN.)
thx.

Hey Scoots....the weight is up about 17lbs since racing season so there will be plenty of calories burned snowshoeing this winter. If I just didn't drink so much beer......hope your recovery is coming along well.....

Deb, we are using Yukon Charlies for both myself and my wife, you can find them mostly online. They are a good beginner to mid-range snowhoe, nothing too special, about 100-120 bucks. Ours our built more for flat terrain and deeper snow. Here's a link to one site that sells them..........
